Non-molestation orders

A non-molestation order is a court order stopping someone from using or threatening violence, harassing you, or intimidating you or a child. It can be made at short notice. In urgent cases the court can hear the application without telling the other person first, and then list a further hearing they can attend.

Occupation orders

An occupation order regulates who lives in the family home. It can require someone to leave, or allow you to return. It is often applied for alongside a non-molestation order when staying in the house is part of being safe.

Bring any messages, photographs or police reference numbers you already have, but do not delay the call because you are still collecting them. Say on the form, or on the phone, if a voicemail would put you at risk. Legal aid may be available. We check that with you before any application is issued.
